On February 21, 2020 at 14.30 a round table was held at the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages on the topic “Actual problems of foreign language education”. The organizers were the faculty of postgraduate education, the Department of postgraduate education and the Department of methods of foreign language education. The round table was organized within the framework of the scientific training program for undergraduates of the specialty "6M011900-Foreign language: two foreign languages" of Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University and the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. The training was carried out on the basis of the research innovative applied laboratory "Modernization of foreign language education based on cognitive-linguistic and cultural methodology" of the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.
The main purpose of the event was to get acquainted with the latest developments of the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages scientists in the field of study, to consider the competence approach and cognitive-linguistic-cultural methodology of academician Kunanbayeva S. S., as well as to consolidate key competencies and improve the professional level of training. The Vice-rector for science and innovation, doctor of Economics, Professor Uspanova M. U. made a welcoming speech. She dwelt on the relevance of the topic of the scientific meeting, cordially welcomed its participants and wished everyone fruitful work. The main report "Conceptual Foundations for the Modernization of Foreign Language Education" was made by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Chaklikova A.T. Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education Professor Baysultanova K.Sh. in her speech noted the role of Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages Scientific and Research Innovative Applied Laboratories in the training of postgraduate education personnel and clearly demonstrated to the participants of the round table the applied products made by undergraduates and doctoral students within the framework of research and innovation applied laboratory I. Leading professors, doctoral students and undergraduates took an active part in the discussion of topical issues of foreign language education.
Was organized an exhibition of works of the academician of Kunanbayeva S.S.and the leading scientists of Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages. According to the results of the research internship, undergraduates were awarded certificates of the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.
