The event was carried out within the framework of implementation of the State of the Nation Address by the President of Kazakhstan on “Kazakhstan in a new global reality: growth, reforms, development”. The State emphasized the global crises that negatively affectthe economy of Kazakhstan, lead to the decrease of development rates in the industrial sectors, and to the reduction of the workplaces.
According to the State of the Nation Address, “Global crises create not only risks but also new opportunities”. In this regard, the President offered the anti-recessionary stratagem as the feasible way forcrisis recovery. The new system of vocational education and professional training is one of such anti-crisis reforms.
The goal of the round table meeting is to search for forms of constructive cooperation with the social partners and potential employers on the issue of dual education and graduate employment within the frames of the “Plan of the Nation. 100 Specific Steps”.
The following issues were raised during the round table discussion:
- mechanism of interaction between Ablai khan KazUIR&L and employerson the issue of dual education and employment of “Tourism” graduates;
- cooperation on vocational training of students;
- transition from the state standard to the professional standard: problems and prospects.
