On November 30, an intellectual competition on the theme "Sevdamız Türkçe" was held, dedicated to the Teacher's Day of the Republic of Turkey on November 24, and organized by Mr. Yalchyn Yurdakul and teachers of the turkish language department of the Department of Eastern Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The guests of this event were students and teachers of the Pedagogical College of Foreign Languages, the College of International Service and Management, the College of Management and International Tourism. Also taking part were the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Kagazbaeva E.M. and teachers of the Department of Eastern Philology. Students studying in the educational programs “Foreign Philology (Turkish)” and “Oriental Studies (Turkish)” competed in an intellectual competition.
The opening ceremony began with the anthems of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey. Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Kagazbaeva E.M. made a congratulatory speech to all the participants and expressed support to all participants. The intellectual competition consisted of five stages: the 1st stage - excerpts from Turkish TV series, the 2nd stage - the history of Turkey, the 3rd stage - famous people, the 4th stage - famous tourist and historical sites of Turkey, the 5th stage - Turkish songs. The competition was very interesting, full of new information.
According to the results of the event, the 1st place was taken by 302 group (educational program "Foreign Philology"), the 2nd place -223 group (educational program "Oriental Studies"), the 3rd place -222 group (educational program "Oriental Studies"). The winners were awarded prizes and certificates.
