On April 12, teachers of the Kazakh Philology department of KazUMO named after him. Abylai Khana PhD, Associate Professor Darkenbayeva Zh. K. And PhD, Associate Professor Nurmysheva Sh. A. held a speaker competition among 2nd year students of FMMK: Tourism, Journalism, Management and Marketing, International Business, Public Relations, Hotel and restaurant business on the topic "Do you know how to speak publicly?".
The competition consisted of 4 stages: 1. Preparing a video on the topic: "My profession is my pride" 2. Composing a dialogue using proverbs and sayings on the topic of "Rhetorical art"; 3. Monologue on the topic "The future of the country is in the hands of youth"; 4. Performance of talents: singing, reading poetry, playing a musical instrument. Each stage was completed by the evaluation of the jury - Professor of the Department of Kazakh Philology, Ph.D. Yesenalieva Zh. Zh., M.P.N., senior lecturer Khamimuldinova L. Zh., senior lecturer of the Department of Tourism Kydyralieva B. N.
The speaker competition was very interesting and lively. It was noticeable that the students had carefully prepared for the speaker competition. As a result of the competition, the main prize was won by students of the Faculty of Tourism, the first place was won by students of the Faculty of Journalism, the second place was shared by students of the faculties of SO and RDGB, the third place was shared by MiM and the Faculty of International Business.
The most active students who distinguished themselves by their eloquence were awarded diplomas. These are students of the Faculty of Tourism Nurdaulet A., Zekenkyzy A., Khatran E, majoring in journalism Berdaulet T, Bayan A, majoring in international business Eldaarova A, Beisen B, etc.
The speakers' platform was organized on the topic "Public speaking skills" in the discipline "Office management in the state language and business communication".
