A round-table conference on the subject of ‘Kazakhstan-China: new prospects for cooperation’

A round-table conference on the subject of ‘Kazakhstan-China: new prospects for cooperation’ took place at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages on March 15th 2016. Nowadays, different aspects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China move to the forefront of these bilateral relations which in their order lead to coordinated research of analytical and educational organizations of two countries.

The University intends to cooperate with one of the world’s leading educational establishments of China Shanghai International Studies University (CSISU) in foreign language training where they established Kazakhstan research centre.

Members of the roundtable were deputy consul general of PRC Mr. Miao Hongbo , Dean of Russian language faculty and Deputy Director of Russian Centre of CSISU Zhang Zili, Director of Russian Centre of CSISU Wang Ning, Head of Kazakhstan Centre at CSISU Wei Jinshen. Also, Professor Pan Dawei who is Head of Russia and Central Asia Research Centre of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; academician Syroyezhkin K. L. of Republic of Kazakhstan Political Science Academy, chief research worker of Presidential Kazakhstan Institute of Strategic Research; foreign affairs deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Studies Erekesheva L. G.; Nursha A.K. is a leading expert of the Institute of World Economy and Political Science by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Foundation; Kazakhstani expert on international migration Sadovskaya E. – all gave speeches at the roundtable as well.

The following topics: ‘Evaluation of the status of bilateral relations of Kazakhstan and China: problems and perspective possibilities of development’, ‘Actual international (global and regional) challenges to bilateral relations between Kazakshtan and China’, ‘Priority goals for strategic partnership of Kazakhstan and China today’, ‘Cultural and educational cooperation of Kazakhstan and China as a foundation of the new Silk Way’ were discussed at this roundtable.
