The Faculty of Economics and Law held a round table on the topic: “International legal and social and economic problems of effectively countering drug trafficking”

On November 29, 2018 the Faculty of Economics and Law held a round table on the topic: “International legal and social and economic problems of effectively countering drug trafficking”, at which the Authorized Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan under the CARICC,

the liaison officer of Afghan anti-drug police under CARICC, as well as academic lawyers, undergraduates and students actively participated.

An introductory speech was made by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Professor A.N. Sakhanova.  The moderator was Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law K. M. Kuchukov. The round table addressed the problems of international cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in combating drug crime, the problems of identifying ways of drug traffic through the territory of the Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, drug business, as a threat to the economic security of Azerbaijan, social and economic and legal problems of combating drug crime among young people.

Following the results of the round table, recommendations and suggestions were made on the problems of combating and improving legislation in this area.
