The students of the Faculty of Management and International Communications won the I and II places in the International Contest of Students’ Projects “Lilac Breakthrough. “Digital PR for Digital Generation!”

The students of specialties “Public Relations” and “Journalism” returned with a victory from the International Contest of Students’ Projects, which took place on April 26, 2019 at “Turan” University within the frameworks of the XVII International Student PR Conference “Lilac Breakthrough. “Digital PR for digital generation!”.

The annual Competition is held to identify the creative potential and raise the professional level of PR students.

The works were evaluated by members of National Association of Public Relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAPR), the Kazakhstan PR Club and public relations professionals.

18 teams from different universities took part in the competition, 11 teams passed to the second round where they defended their PR projects in two sections:

- Digital PR

- Social responsibility in PR.

The students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd courses of specialties “Public Relations” and “Journalism” under the guidance of a candidate of political sciences, associate professor Turabekova B.B., a candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, head of chair of international communications Kim O.Ya., a social partner - Advisor of the President of the “National Center for Space Research and Technology”, JSC of the Aerospace Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazkosmos) Hubert A.A. won prizes:

Section № 1 «Digital PR»

I place - Hasenova Yeldana, Iskakova Assel, Asetov Shakhnazar - The project “SMM in forming the image of Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages”  

       II place - Shalkar Ayaulym, Khaibulina Alfiya, Shinibekova Amina - Project “SMM in promoting the idea of volunteering”

Section № 2 «Social responsibility in PR»

II place – Yerofeyeva Alina, Kucheryavaya Alina - Project “Promotion of space science among youth”

In the special section № 3 our teams struggled and deservedly received valuable prizes from the sponsors of the event and conference partners, carrying out a special task modeled by PR specialists.
