On January 27, a seminar was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies on the topic "Exchange of experience in using modern innovative technologies in the educational process". The workshop was attended by teachers. The following teachers spoke at the seminar:

1. Babzhanova A.B., chair of Foreign Philology: "PRAAT technology in the educational process";
2. Kadyrbekova K.I., chair of Translation of Oriental Languages: “Use of case technologies in the educational process”
3. Zhaksylykkyzy K., chair of Translation of Oriental Languages: “Using the “Memrise” application in teaching foreign languages”;
4. Zhunusova A.K., chair of Oriental Studies: "Application of the meta-scheme of the specialty "Oriental studies".

On 21-23 of January, KazUIR&WL hosted annual sports competitions among faculty and staff, organized by the trade union committee of the University. The sports program included the following types among male and female teams: volleyball, table tennis, chess.

January 22, 2020 at the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World languages, the faculty of the Department of postgraduate education organized a round table dedicated to the discussion of Kasym-Jomart Tokayev's article "Abay and Kazakhstan in the XXI Century". In the event of the round table was attended by scientists of the KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, invited guests and young researchers. The round table was opened by the Vice-rector for science and innovation, doctor of Economics, Professor Uspanova M.U. The round table was chaired by doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rysaldy K.T. The report was made by head of the Department of postgraduate education Kagazbaeva E. M.

As part of the training, the faculty of the military department of the Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages took part in shooting training.

Lessons in training were held on the basis of the shooting range of the military department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The officers-teachers of the military department carried out training instruction from Makarov’s pistol and Kalashnikov’s assault rifle.

On January 10, 2020, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages held a round table discussion on "Russian language in multilingual Kazakhstan and the problems of didactics".

On December 25, 2019 within the framework of international cooperation, the Department of Management and Marketing, with the assistance of the International Relations office were organized the master class of PhD, professor Almaz Tolymbek from Delta International University (Canada). Topic of the master class was: “Comparative analysis of the effectiveness of pension system in  Kazakhstan. International experience in organizing a pension system. ”

On behalf of the celebration of World Human Rights Day at the Faculty of International Relations Kazakh Ablai khan UIR&WL December 10, 2019, a round table was held in the role play format. Where students of the IRF and Oriental studies acted as stakeholders, public foundations and scientists on the issue of children's rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This event promotes the instillation of soft skills/critical thinking skills among students in finding solutions to social problems that are extremely useful for their personal and professional development.

December 13 and 18, 2019 students of the IRF and teacher A.Issaliyeva  were invited by the International Organization for Migration at the United Nations, they participated in the Global Migration Film Festival - 2019, which was organized in Almaty first time.

On December 6, 2019, students of 3 and 4 courses of the specialty "5B030100-jurisprudence" took an active part in the Annual interuniversity legal Olympiad " Крим-Экс-2019", held by the Department of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistics of the law faculty  of the Al-Farabi Kazakh national University.
