On December 6, 2019, in Nur-Sultan, the winners of the international competition of the best students “Leader of the 21st Century” were awarded for the purpose of popularizing among young people the Messages of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan “Constructive public dialogue - the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan ”, where students of the Faculty of International Relations Akimbek Dilshat, Zhandesh Aknur, Sagyndyk Gulzhazira, Agybayev Rakhymzhan and Kim Timur showed all their talents.

An essay competition on the theme “Independence is the foundation of an eternal state”, dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was organized by the “Dilmar” section of the department of eastern philology, faculty of Oriental studies, the Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages. Students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Faculty of Foreign Language: two foreign languages took part in the competition. Member of the jury, teacher of the Arabic language Tubazhanov Yermek Makhmutovich advised students to be more active in the future. The jury awarded the participants with a letter of thanks.

December, 11th the Annually Kazakhstan History Olympiad have held in Kazakh Ablai Khan University. ‘Ablai Khan Historical heritage: succession of generations represented as a topic of this Olympiad. 

On December 6, 2019, Turan University held a competition on the theme “The Trinity of Languages is a Unique Project for the Successful Development of Kazakhstan”, where our 4-year students of the «Oriental Studies» specialty Seytnur Shynar, Alikhan Aikun, Kilibaeva Aynur under the leadership of Ph.D., Associate Professor Zh.O. Yeserkepova defended their reports on research work. As a result, our students were very active and received certificates. From the bottom of our hearts we congratulate our talented students who have increased the pride of the faculty.

On December 6, 2019, the concert “Miracle” was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, where third-year students of the “Oriental studies” specialty performed songs, danced, played various musical instruments and played “the Cinderella” play in a modern interpretation.

On December 6, 2019, the senior teacher of the Department of Oriental Studies, A. Zhunussova held a workshop “Critical Thinking: Importance and Benefit”. According to the head of state’s message “In teaching, it is especially important to develop the 4C model: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity”, the importance of critical thinking for students and its components were discussed. During the workshop, it was shown how to properly use methods and strategies, such as RAFT, KWL, Cluster, Sinkwein, INSERT, Basket of ideas, fishbone for the development of critical thinking skills in students. Faculty teachers did different exercises while working with the above mentioned methods.

On December 6, 2019, in the city of Nur-Sultan, together with the Institute of State History of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the national center for innovative research “Bilim orkenieti”, the international forum “Youth is the future of our country” was held.

The Faculty of International Communication Management held international scientific and practical conference on December 6, 2019 on the theme "Transformation of the development of tourism management and international communication in the digital economy." The reports of the specialty "Tourism," Restaurant and Hotel business" were heard by sections No. 1, 2, 3, 4.

November 5, 2019 at Kazakh Ablai khanUIRandWL held a round table on the theme: "The New international order and national security". The meeting with the students of the Faculty of international relations was attended by Professor Reinhard Hesse from Freiburg University of Germany and Ph.D Javier Allez of E.H.E.S.S., France.

In the framework of program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Attraction of Foreign Scientists”, at Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages were held lectures of professors Dr. R. Hesse (Freiburg University, Germany) from November 11, 2019 to December 11, 2019 and Dr. Xavier Hallez, E.H.E.S.S. (Paris, France) from November 12, 2019 to December 06, 2019.
