On December 18 and 19, 2024, on the basis of «Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL» JSC, an expanded meeting of the EMA-PMG REMC in the areas of «Languages and Literature», «Teacher training in languages and literature» on the topic «On updating the Concept of development of foreign language education» was held with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dzharasova Gulzhan Sagidullayevna.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Education of Almaty, Saifedenov Sairan Tapenuly, Vice–President of the Republican state enterprise on the right of economic management «National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin» Karatabanov Ruslan Adilkhanovich, Director of the Institution «Institute of Pedagogical Research» Akhmetova Gulnara Batyrbekovna and representatives of 25 higher and postgraduate education organizations, TVE and secondary education institutions.
Much attention was paid by the participants to the discussion of the prospects for the development of foreign language teacher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, issues of professional development of foreign language teachers and problems of innovative training of foreign language education personnel.
Based on the results of the discussion of the prospects for the development of foreign-language teacher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the prospects for the implementation of a comprehensive task for the development and implementation of a national system of advanced training and certification of teachers in English through the prism of integration with proven international standards, using adaptability mechanisms in accordance with local needs.
It was decided to create a working group on updating the Concept of development of foreign language education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
