On 27 March 2025, in accordance with the calendar of the IRN research project AP19680449 “Translation Quality Assessment: scientific and educational spheres”, a scientific and methodological seminar was held for teachers and students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology at the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages after Abylai khan. Aizhan Muratovna Kurkimbayeva, Senior Researcher of the project, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Speech Practice of Foreign Languages, delivered a report at the seminar.
The aim of the seminar was to familiarise the academic community with the results of internal quality assessment of translation of philology textbooks.
During the seminar, the algorithm for assessing the quality of translations of scientific and educational texts in Kazakh and English was presented, followed by a Q&A session where participants' questions were addressed.
