Within the framework of the regional studies laboratory of the Department of International Relations, in order to assess the level of development of students' foreign language intercultural communicative competence, their skills of free communication and public speaking, on April 29, 2025, the first-year teachers of the discipline Foreign Languages of the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of International Relations and Public Administration organized and held the competition "Best original screenplay" among first-year students of the International Relations program, where students staged productions using all the topics covered from September to May of the current academic year 2024-2025.
Three groups - 105, 102, 103 were awarded diplomas of 1, 2, and 3 degrees respectively, and the participants of the competition who showed high results in the level of foreign language proficiency, a rich arsenal of foreign language vocabulary on the topics covered, grammatical constructions, and demonstrated artistry, emotionality and creativity were awarded the following nominations: Most Emotional Performance, Most Creative Performance, Most Convincing Character, Best Use of English, etc.
The competition "Best original screenplay" became a wonderful and exciting test for students who staged their own productions, came up with logically connected stories, incredible scenes, sang and danced, in a word, they showed themselves not only savvy from the linguistic side but also successfully demonstrated their talents, creativity and uniqueness! This competition also helped students improve their group work skills, helped expand their leadership skills and public speaking opportunities.
