On April 30, 2025, the “Job Fair – 2025” was held at JSC “Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages” organized by the Center for Practice and Employment.
The aim of the event was to support student employment, establish connections between graduates and employers, and discuss trends in the labor market.
Approximately 90 employers participated in the Job Fair, representing the public, banking, education, legal, tourism, and business sectors. International companies such as CNLC International Kazakhstan Inc., Asian Gas Pipeline LLP, Kazakhstan Energy Investment LLP, Astana Motors LLP, and others also took part.
In the first part of the event, graduating students went through express interviews and received information about job openings, working conditions, and internship opportunities. Despite the digitalization of recruitment, face-to-face interaction with company representatives remains a relevant way to establish contacts and submit resumes.
During workshops and training sessions, participants improved their resume writing and interview preparation skills. The second part of the event included meetings between students and employers in lecture halls.
For students of the following programs: “6B01701 – Teacher of Two Foreign Languages” “6B02301 – Translation Studies” and “6B02302 – Foreign Philology” presentations were conducted by schools, colleges, and companies:
Maya Rakhymbekova, Head of IDP IELTS Kazakhstan LLP, spoke about job opportunities, career growth, and IELTS exam preparation.
Tamila Rakhimova, Marketing Manager at EF Education First LLP, presented internship programs and courses aimed at developing language and intercultural competencies.
Suliko Sarbufina, HR Manager of the Chinese company Kazakhstan Energy Investment LLP, spoke about the requirements for Chinese language proficiency and career prospects in an international environment.
For students of the legal programs “6B04201 – Law” and “6B04202 – International Law” the following representatives delivered presentations:
Zhanar Dosym and Aliya Qasenova, employees of the Department of Economic Investigations in Almaty, provided information about careers in government agencies.
Colonel Zhandos Asylbekovich Kavliev of the Almaty Police Department and officers from district police departments in Almaty spoke about the service, requirements, and career opportunities in law enforcement.
The fair proved to be an effective platform for both students and employers: the former gained access to a wide range of career opportunities, while the latter had the chance to attract qualified and motivated candidates.
