With the aim of enriching theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of alternative dispute resolution and judicial practice, on October 3, 2025, the Department of international law of JSC “Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages” organized a guest lecture on the topic “Judicial Mediation in Kazakhstan” with the participation of Inessa Kuаnova Zainullovna - Candidate of legal sciences, judge, and qualified mediator with extensive practical experience, for 3rd-year students of the educational program “6B042 – Law”.
The guest lecture was devoted to discussing practical issues in the field of judicial mediation, its procedures, advantages, and problematic aspects within the justice system.
During the meeting, students showed their curiosity and active interest in the topic under discussion by asking the specialist several questions related to the procedure of mediation, the participation of the parties, the role of the mediator, and the prospects for the development of the mediation institute in Kazakhstan, as well as by solving real-life situations.
The attending students acquired additional and useful knowledge. The lecturer was highly impressed by the students’ interest, thanked them for their active participation and courage in expressing their opinions.
Such events confirm the commitment of the Department of international law to combine theory and practice, helping students master their profession through direct interaction with experts. This practice not only enriches students’ theoretical knowledge but also develops the practical skills necessary for their future professional activities.
