On October 2, 2025, students of the educational program “6B02301 – Translation Studies” of the Faculty of Translation and Philology and students of the educational programs “6B11102 – Restaurant and Hotel Management”, “6B11101 – Tourism” of the Faculty of Management and International Communications of JSC “Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations & World Languages” took part in the international event “Thailand Roadshow 2025” as interpreters.
The purpose of the event was to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Kazakhstan in the fields of tourism and culture. The workshop was organized by the international tour operator “Pegas Kazakhstan” LLP.
Ten university students provided simultaneous interpretation of presentations delivered by representatives of leading Thai hotels. The selection of participants was arranged by the University’s Practice and Employment Center.
Thanks to their strong language skills, the students successfully met the challenges of the event. For future interpreters, this was not only valuable hands-on experience but also an opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real professional setting. At the end of the event, all participants received letters of appreciation from Ms. Olga Soboleva, General Director of “Pegas Kazakhstan” LLP.
Such projects are an important part of professional training, fostering intercultural communication, responsibility, and professional mobility among students.
Participation in “Thailand Roadshow 2025” once again confirmed the high demand for and strong professional training of Ablai Khan University graduates.
