From October 29 to 30, the Alatau Creative Center is hosting a seminar dedicated to the popularization of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) included in the UNESCO Representative List. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Public Institute for Social Development. The teaching staff of the Department of History of Kazakhstan B. Zhuztayeva, Zh. Makasheva, M. Nasyrova, A. Doszhanova, headed by the head of the department V. Iztayeva took part in this event.

The event includes lectures, case studies, a workshop, and dialogue, and is aimed at exchanging experiences and presenting effective approaches to preserving and promoting cultural traditions in the educational activities of universities. Participation in the seminar was an important step for our university in developing educational and outreach initiatives in the field of cultural heritage. For teachers, this is an opportunity to introduce new forms of work with students, and for students, it is an opportunity to expand their understanding of the role of culture in the modern world and recognize the importance of preserving intangible assets.
