On October 31, 2025, in the hall of the Academic Council No. 1 of the academic building of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan, a meeting of the faculty of the Department of Kazakh Philology (Head of the Department of Kazakh Philology, Ph.D., Associate. Prof. Akkozhina B. K., Ph.D., professor. Yesenalieva Zh. Zh., Ph.D., Associate professor. Nurmysheva Sh.A., PhD, Associate professor Darkenbayeva Zh.K., PhD, associate professor Ermagambetova L. N., PhD, senior lecturer Tungatova G. Zh., PhD, senior lecturer Khamimuldinova L. Zh. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the researcher of Kazakh linguistics, Doctor of Philology, Professor Turagul Konyrovich Konyrov, an international scientific and theoretical conference "The concept of comparison in cognitive linguistics: national worldview and language" was organized.
The conference was opened by the Vice-rector for Educational and Methodological Work of the University, Ph.D., Professor Kulgildinova T. A. with a foreword by the rector of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kunanbayeva S. S.
The Doctor of Philology, Professors Z. S. Yernazarova, J. A. Mankeeva, Yesenalieva Zh. Zh., reported on the life and scientific path of Turagul Konyrovich. In addition, the research article by Professor of the Turkish University Omer Halisdemir Nedim Bakirshi "The Connoisseur of the nature of comparisons", PhD Zh. Sametova, sent from the state of California, USA, revealed the significance of the conference. The daughter of PhD candidate, associate professor Konyrova A. K., who continued her father's path, remembered her father with trepidation, and the reports of the scientist's descendants studying at the University of Yalova, Turkey, Zhumabekova A. N. and Niyazbek K. N., discovered the nature of comparison.
The director of the T. Konyrov school, G. D. Kabdoldina, and the teacher-researcher Maigaranova, Sh.K., from the village of Akshoky in the Makanchinsky district of the Abai region, where Turagul Konyrovich was born, spoke about the scientist's life.
Director of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, M.yu.n. B.A. Zhumatayeva and archivist of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation E.B.Aliaskarova presented to the public the new data collected on the basis of the scientific heritage of Turagul Konyrov.
The contemporaries and students of the scholar — Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor M.D. Eskaliev; Doctors of Philosophical Sciences, Professors K.T. Rysaldy and D.S. Rayev; Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University T.T.
