On May 5, 2026, a solemn military oath-taking ceremony was held at the military department of Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. On this significant day, 109 students who had successfully completed their training at the university’s military department pledged allegiance to their Motherland.
The official part of the event was opened by the Head of the Military Department, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel R.S. Abesinov. In his address, he emphasized the importance of the military oath as a sacred duty of every citizen and congratulated the cadets on successfully completing their stage of military training.
Following this, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy T.V. Seryozhkina delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the university administration. She noted that the university prepares not only highly qualified specialists, but also true patriots who are ready to take responsibility for the future of the country.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the speeches delivered by the cadets’ family members and relatives.
On behalf of the parents, the following speakers shared their words of encouragement:
• Reserve Lieutenant Colonel of Justice K.D. Dinistanov, father of a military department cadet, who highlighted the importance of continuity between generations and the preservation of officers’ traditions;
• Dina Aimukhamedova, mother of a cadet, who wished the young people resilience and success in their service;
• Asylbek Sharakhmetov, grandfather of a cadet, whose heartfelt words about love for the homeland became an important lesson of wisdom for the young cadets.
The ceremony concluded with a response speech by military department cadet Aruzhan Kobeykyzy. On behalf of all those who had taken the oath, she assured the audience that the younger generation would faithfully honor their pledge and proudly uphold the title of graduates of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL.
The program continued with demonstrations of military and technical skills. Students showcased excellent weapon-handling abilities and a high level of proficiency in rapid rifle assembly. A patriotic song performance became another memorable moment, emphasizing the unity and strong spirit of the collective.
The event concluded with a ceremonial march across the university campus. Marching in perfect formation before the guests, the cadets demonstrated outstanding discipline and their readiness to serve the Motherland.
