On August 10, Kazakhstan officially celebrates Abai Day, marking the birthday of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, composer, and founder of modern Kazakh written literature. On August 10, 2026, a delegation from Ablaikhan University, led by Acting Chairperson of the Management Board – Rector D.A. Kunanbayeva, took part in the flower-laying ceremony in honor of Abai Kunanbayuly, held at Abai Square in Almaty. The ceremony was also attended by the Akim of Almaty, D. Satybaldy, as well as prominent representatives of the fields of education, science, and the arts.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on Abai Day and emphasized that Abai’s ideas play an important role in shaping the values of modern Kazakh society. Among them, the President highlighted the principles of «Adal Azamat», «Taza Kazakhstan» and «Law and Order».
