On October 2, the University psychologist conducted an interactive psychology lecture focusing on how social environments influence human behavior.

Together with the students, several well-known experiments in social psychology were explored, including Solomon Asch’s conformity experiments on the influence of majority opinion; Stanley Milgram’s study of obedience to authority; and Philip Zimbardo’s famous Stanford Prison Experiment.
Through these studies, the participants discussed the extent to which our decisions and behavior can be influenced by the opinions of others, social roles, authority, and specific situations.

Special attention was given to the idea that psychological experiments not only help us better understand human behavior but also encourage us to reflect on our own experiences: where does the influence of the group end, and where does independent choice begin?
