On 20 February 2017, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a well-known academic figure and public speaker Sanzhar Kerymbay. He delivered an interesting lecture on the topic “Logotherapy: meaning of life or love for life”, during which the issues of suicide among the youth, motivations in life, and the role of spiritual-moral education of students have been discussed.

On 15-th February at 517 audience at the Faculty of International Relation lecturer Moldakhmet Bidas held an open lecture with the students of the 3rd course on the theme: "The causes of terrorism in the Middle East" in English.

20 February Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Ph.D. Rayev D.S. and Lecturer at the Department of Regional Studies Sarsenov M.B. went to M. Auezov Drama Theatre. The play was "Kulemyz ba zhylaymyz ba?" as an application form of the study of social and political problems of the youth.

On February 21, 2017 in the 1^st building in the room № 211 the scientific-methodological seminar on the language situation in the contemporary Kazakhstan took place. This event was dedicated to 75^th anniversary of Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages. During the seminar Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Regional Studies Department Kadyrzhanov R.K. made a report on “The Triunity of languages in Kazakhstan: problems and prospects”.

A delegation from the South Korean Chonbuk National University visited our University on February 22, 2017. The delegation consists of Ms, Prof. Young Mensook – Vice-rector on International Relations; Mr, Prof. Lee Minho Vice–rector on Strategic Development; Mr Cho Guanchoo – Head of International Relations Department.

On February 17, 2017 in the Main building in the room № 504 the round table on the subject "State and Civil Society" has taken place with participation of the teacher of discipline of “The Basics of Sociology and Political Science” Sarsenov Maksut Baymuratovich, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rayev Dauletbek Saduakasovich, Candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Zhumatay Gabit, Senior teacher Ermekbayev Adilbek, and the 1^st year  students of specialty “5B050500 – Regional Studies”, the Kazakh group.

Kazakh Ablai Khan university of international relations and world languages held Exchange programs exhibition for University students who wants to study for academic mobility in Universities-partners of Ablai khan KazUR&WL. Students could see the educational programs of Universities from Russian Federation, South Korea, China, Great Britain, Romania, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland etc.

31 January 2017 the department of International Law was held a scientific-theoretical seminar on the theme: "Legal regulation of labor relations complicated by a foreign element", where the peculiarities of legal regulation of labour of foreigners arriving in Kazakhstan were discussed. In the Republic of Kazakhstan amendments to the legislation on employment of population and migration, entered into force January 1, 2107.

February 9, 2017 the faculty Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR & WL visited Technopark "Alatau" in special economic "innovation park" area.

January 20, 2017 at the Austrian Resource Center in  Ablai Khan KazUIR & WL Master of the University of Vienna Johann Planck held an open lesson on "Austrian cuisine".

The students were shown a film about the Austrian culture and traditions of the Republic of Austria.
