On 28 September 2018 at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, a bright event of new academic year for first-year students «student initiation ceremony» was held. This year, the University opened its doors to more than 2,500 students, including holders of the "Алтын белгі" sign, winners of international competitions and contests, graduates of NIS and a huge number of students with red certificates.
The event has begun with a solemn procession of first-year students. The elder of the University, honored teacher, doctor of Philology, Professor K. T. Rysaldy congratulated all first-year students with parting words. Traditionally, undergraduate students performed a «ritual of initiation of freshmen» - handed symbolic student tickets, a book of knowledge and a torch of knowledge. The concert part of the event was opened by invited guests of «Umberto-project», who performed famous hits. The evening was continued by talented students of the University: dancers and singers. Performances of art groups was striking: choir of university, dance group «Нұрби», orchestra of folk instruments «Жаңғыру».
