On October 29th, Aliya Kuantayeva’s workshop organized the Debates English League on the topic “The trend of celebrating Halloween in Kazakhstan” which in Russian means «Тенденция празднования Хэллоуина в Казахстане»). In our time, the majority of people don’t really understand it, and some don’t even know what it is and the purpose of some events also.
Halloween is the celebration whose history and traditions take its beginning from a long period of time ago, and the roots can be found even in ancient religion of druids. In the result of uploading most updates and news, now it’s firstly a day when they all remember dead spirits. Exactly about this topic our debater were discussing and conversing about very well. There were also several questions that had its obvious answers. The majority of participants were students of the pedagogy faculty of 2 foreign languages and the faculty of translation and philology. The event was supported by the representatives of American councils and finalists of “FLEX” USA Exchange program. All participants were given certificates and prizes.
