On October 30, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a round table on the topic “China in my life” with the participation of a cultural scientist, public figure, sinologist Murat Mukhtaruly Auezov. The dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies-Daen Dinara Bakytkreeevna, undergraduates and students of the faculty took part in this event as well.
The agenda addressed topical problems of Sinology. One of the main questions of the round table was the opening of the Institute of Sinology in Kazakhstan. Various opinions and views were expressed on this issue, and possible obstacles that might be encountered in the way of solving this problem were discussed.
