From January 27 to January 31, 2019 there took place Cultural Days of India in Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony of Cultural Days of India was held in National library of Kazakhstan along with the book and a photo exhibition devoted to the 150th anniversary since the birth of the leader of India Mahatma Gandhi «Mahatma Gandhi – 150 years: life and heritage» on January 29. The action was organized together with Embassy of India in Kazakhstan and the cultural center of Swami Vivekananda.
The editions provided by Embassy of India in Kazakhstan and also books from the fund of National library were demonstrated in Kazakh, Russian, Hindi and English languages at a book exhibition.
The teachers and students from faculty of oriental studies of Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages, employees and readers of library participated in the event.
