In the period from 11 to 17 November 2019 in KazUIR and WL named after Ablai Khan at the faculty of Oriental Studies was held the 2nd Week of Korean Studies. In the framework of the Week of Korean studies by the center of Korean Studies at KazUIR and WL named after Ablai Khan. Guest lectures, the 10 th Central Asian Olympiad in Korean studies and the 5th conference of young scientists of the CIS were held with the participation of the partner University of Korea (Republic of Korea).
On November 13, a guest lecture was held by an employer from CIS Group Kim O.G. "Improvement of translation qualifications for subsequent employment," as well as November 14 guest lecture of the Honorary consul of the Republic of Korea in Almaty Kim Hynsu, for 2-4 years students of the Korean section. International events were attended by guests from 6 countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine and South Korea), 12 cities, 20 universities, 110 participants. According to the results of the Olympiad, the first place was taken by the student of the 4th year of KazUIR and WL Zhanabai Akzer, the 2 place was taken by the student of KazUIR and WL of the 4 course of Sultanali Ulzhan, the 3rd place was taken by the student of Kyrgyz-Korean college Erkinbayeva Datkaiym. The incentive prizes were received by Trumova Aibota (KazNU), Alikhanova Arailym (ENU), Omirzak Zhemiskul (KyzSU), Arystanbekova Gulnur (KUCA, Bishkek), Akhrorova Mahinur (SSIFL, Samarkand), Savina Kira (HSI, Moscow), Nalivaiko Olga (NSU, Novosibirsk), Krinicskii Maksim (KNLU, Kiev).
