On December 6, 2019, the senior teacher of the Department of Oriental Studies, A. Zhunussova held a workshop “Critical Thinking: Importance and Benefit”. According to the head of state’s message “In teaching, it is especially important to develop the 4C model: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity”, the importance of critical thinking for students and its components were discussed. During the workshop, it was shown how to properly use methods and strategies, such as RAFT, KWL, Cluster, Sinkwein, INSERT, Basket of ideas, fishbone for the development of critical thinking skills in students. Faculty teachers did different exercises while working with the above mentioned methods.
