Round table discussion of The head of state's article «Abay and Kazakhstan in the XXI century»

January 22, 2020 at the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World languages, the faculty of the Department of postgraduate education organized a round table dedicated to the discussion of Kasym-Jomart Tokayev's article "Abay and Kazakhstan in the XXI Century". In the event of the round table was attended by scientists of the KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, invited guests and young researchers. The round table was opened by the Vice-rector for science and innovation, doctor of Economics, Professor Uspanova M.U. The round table was chaired by doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rysaldy K.T. The report was made by head of the Department of postgraduate education Kagazbaeva E. M.

The topic of Abay's philosophical heritage, the concept of "a man of integrity" was raised during his speech by the head of the Department of Kazakh Philology Iskhan B. Zh., and Professor of the Department of Eastern Philology Yesenzhan D. A. The language subtleties of the great poet's work were discussed by doctor of Philology, Professor Makhpirov V.U., Professor Of the educational center "TodayEducation" M. R. Kondubaeva, Professor M. K. Karmysova, Professor of the Department of theoretical and applied linguistics Kabdulova K.L. Head of the Department "Modern history of Kazakhstan and worldview disciplines", Professor Aidarbekov Z. S., Dean of the faculty of Economics and law Kudaibergenov N. A. discussed the special role of Abay's heritage in the spiritual and moral education of young people. Head of the center for social development "Рухани Жаңғыру" Serzhanov B. E. supported the idea of the President to use the legacy of Abay in the modernization of consciousness and its adaptation to modern requirements. The participants of the round table also spoke about the importance of preserving and studying the multifaceted cultural heritage of the great Abay for future generations of Kazakhstan, discussed the translation of Abay's creative heritage into world languages and the study of the poet's philosophical worldview.

Undergraduates and doctoral students took an active part in the discussion. In the final part of the round table, a number of specific proposals were adopted to deepen the study of the great poet's legacy and effectively implement the results obtained in the learning process.
