On April 27, under the guidance of associate professors of the professional department of regional studies Shukyzhanova A.N., Toyganbayeva A.E., senior teacher Akhmetova Sh.K. students of the Kazakh, Russian and English departments of the specialty "Regional Studies" took part in the Republican Distance Subject Olympiad on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU with the participation of 6 universities chaired by Vlastimil Samek, Head of the UN Department of Global Communications. The theme of the Olympiad is “Migration processes in the context of the transformation of the system of international relations: main trends and challenges”.
The competition between the teams consisted of three parts. The first is a video presentation of the teams, the second is the research project "Migration profile of countries: current state and forecast scenario (country of choice)", the third is an online quiz among team captains on the Kahoot platform.
According to the final results of the Olympiad, the teams of our university (Russian department - Mankesheva Aizhan, Aleeva Denmark, Koptileva Anel, English department - Bolysbekova Meirim, Kenesbaeva Guldana, Kazikhan Gaukhar, Kazakh department - Zhunisova Aruzhan, Zhetkerbai Bekzhan, Abdukhmanova Sandugash) adequately represented our university at the interuniversity competition and took third place. We sincerely congratulate our talented students and wish them further success in their studies.
