On May 20, our university, in particular the Faculty of Oriental Studies, was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Jun Yamada, and the Cultural and Media Attaché, Mr. Kinoshita.
Our esteemed guests met with the rector of the university, academician Salima Kunanbayeva, and discussed issues of further cooperation between our university and universities in Japan on master's programs and academic mobility of students. Issues of providing educational literature in Japanese for teachers of Japanese and students studying Japanese were discussed with the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Dauyen Dinara. In turn, our students demonstrated their knowledge of the language and culture of Japan, as a result of which Mr. Jun Yamada highly noted the level of students' knowledge.
