“TED-talks”

TED Talks have always been a great learning tool for today's society.  And one thing that makes them different from other talks or symposiums is their relevance to today's current events.  The great thing is that these inspiring TED Talks are available to everyone, including university students.

On December 1, the “TED-talks” event was held among the second year of the pedagogical faculty , organized by 201 groups and mentor Samatkyzy Madina.

The “TED-talks” event brought together the most innovative students of the Faculty of Education of Foreign Languages to give short and meaningful speeches on topical issues of today.

The main purpose of TED Talks lies in its motto: "Ideas worth spreading."  And in this competition, we wanted not only to give students the opportunity to share their experiences on the most relevant topics for them, but also to connect them with their studies by developing their thinking, understanding and speaking in English.

Working with speakers has been an essential aspect of preparing for TEDx.  The qualifying round was held, about 40 students participated in this stage and only 17 of them made a speech.

The students overcame the fear of public speaking, told different stories, from learning languages to stories that help young people to accept themselves, to sort out any situations related to adaptation in modern society.

At the end, the jury chose the 3 most interesting speakers, who were awarded a special certificate and got the opportunity to participate in the city's TED Talks.
