On December 23, 2022, at the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the winners and nominees of the competition "Best Scientific Article - 2022" of the Vestnik of KazNU were awarded. Series: International Relations and International Law. Articles of authors published in 2019, 2020, 2021 were considered.
Winners and nominees were determined according to the following criteria:
- Number of views (Researchgate database)
- Number of citations (Researchgate database)
- Number of citations (GoogleScholar database)
- Number of citations (SCOPUS database)
According to the results of the competition, the scientific article "Digital diplomacy in the context of soft power (example of France and China)" by the senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Studies Bekzat Baktybekovna Baktybekova, written in co-authorship, became the winner in the nomination "Best article of the author (s) of a domestic university in the journal Vestnik KazNU. Series of international relations and international law.
It should be especially noted that in the nomination - "The best scientific article of a foreign (-s) author (-s) in the journal" Vestnik of KazNU. International Relations and International Law Series 2022” won the article “Biden’s White House and the New Foreign Policy in Central Asia” by Mendis P. (National Zhengzhi University, Taiwan) and Uralbaev Samat S.S. (Wuhan University, China). At the moment, senior lecturer Uralbaev Samat Salamatovich heads the Department of Oriental Studies.
