From 20 to 23 February, for the first time scholars from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized an international level academic seminar for teachers of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan in Kazakh Abylai Khan UIR and WL. Specifically, Professor Al-Midouah Ali Ahmed, Head of Centre and Programme Management Department at King Salman International Academy of Arabic Language, Professor Addameh Khaled Abdulaziz, Head of Research and Testing Centre Department at King Saud University and Mr. Al-Sarami Abdulrahman Saad, a lecturer at King Saud University were the speakers at the seminar.
On the first day of the seminar there was a formal meeting with Salima Sagievna Kunanbayeva, Rector of Kazakh Abylai Khan UIR and WL where the scientific and educational cooperation issues between our university and public universities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed.
Arabic language teachers of Kazakhstan higher educational institutions, colleges and lyceums attended the seminar. The participants were awarded international certificates after the training. Speakers of the seminar, guests from Saudi Arabia were awarded with letters of gratitude on behalf of S.S. Kunanbayeva, Chairman of the Board, Rector of Kazakh Abylai Khan UIR and WL.
Faculty of Oriental Studies, including the Department of Oriental Languages Translation and the Department of Oriental Philology organized the meeting. Special thanks to the organization and participation of the Arabic language lecturers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
