From March 13 to 15, the 3rd International Conference on Korean Studies was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, organized by the Center for Eurasian Studies in Korean Studies at Erciyes University (Turkey).
This international conference was attended by both well-known Korean scientists and young researchers from seven countries: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan and Russia. Kazakhstan was represented by participants from KazUIR and WL named Abylai Khan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Nazarbayev University.
As part of the interaction and development of interuniversity scientific cooperation, our university was represented by professors and teachers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, participating in the project implemented by the Center for Korean Studies of Ablai khan KazUIRandWL Prof. Jang Hojong , Assoc. prof. Khan N. Ch., director of the Center for Korean Studies Kim U.A., senior lecturer Aksanalieva Zh.N., teacher Oh Sangho, 2nd year master student Zhailauova A.
The rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, academician Kamal Abdullayev, in his welcoming speech, noted that holding such conferences is important for strengthening and expanding cooperation in the field of Korean studies.
At the conference, prof. Jang Hojong made a report on the state and prospects for the development of Korean studies in Central Asia, and the director of the Center for Korean Studies Kim U.A. spoke about the implementation of the project for the development of Korean studies in KazUIR and WL.
Undoubtedly, this conference is a valuable experience for the collaboration of universities, and for teachers, in our opinion, an invaluable experience in presenting their materials.
