March 24, 2023 Ablai khan KazUIR&WL was visited by a delegation of Busan University of Foreign Languages (BUFS) of the Republic of Korea, consisting of the First Vice-rector Mr. Kwon Oh Kyung, Head of the Department of International Cooperation Ms. Jeong Myung Suk and Coordinator of the Department of International Cooperation Ms. Lim Hye Jong.
The delegation of the Busan University of Foreign Languages met with the leadership and professors of Ablai khan KazUIR&WL, represented by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development D.A. Kunanbayeva, Vice-rector for youth policy T.V. Seryozhkina, head of the educational department A.T. Mergembaeva, head of the department for international cooperation T.E. Abdigappar, doctor of philological sciences, professor N.S. Park, associate professor N.Ch. Khan, director of the Center for Korean Studies U.A. Kim.
Busan University of Foreign Languages (BUFS) is one of the partner universities of Ablai khan KazUIR&WL, which is associated with many years of active cooperation in the field of academic mobility of students and undergraduates, conducting various joint programs. And this time, partners from the Republic of Korea visited our university in order to expand activities within the framework of bilateral cooperation. The main point in the program of the meeting was the signing of an agreement on the opening of the Center for Global Cooperation of Busan University of Foreign Languages (BUFS), which the Korean university is opening in Kazakhstan for the first time. The Center will work in the field of development and expansion of multi-vector cooperation in the already existing academic mobility program between Ablai khan KazUIR&WL and BUFS, as well as the development of a double degree program, joint educational programs, tandem cooperation of students of the two countries, etc.
The visit of the delegation of Busan University of Foreign Languages to our university ended with a meeting with students of the Korean department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Ablai khan KazUIR&WL.
