On May 5, the Ablai khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages hosted the Republican scientific and methodological seminar "Actual problems of Eastern philology", dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the candidate of philological sciences, professor Gasan Avdoyevich Aliyev. G. A. Aliyev, as a Turkic scientist and a qualified specialist in the field of the Turkish language, makes a great contribution to the development of Turkic studies and the training of high-level specialists in the Turkish language at the Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, Abay KazNPU and Al-Farabi KazNU.
The seminar was opened by Vice-Rector for Administrative and Organizational Work Nurgabylov U.Sh. and Vice-rector for social and educational work Serezhkina T.V. A certificate of honor and a cash prize were awarded to Professor Aliev G.A. from the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kunanbayeva S.S. Friendship medal to Professor Aliyev G.A. was presented by the Chairman of the Barbang Association of the Kurds of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Economics, Professor Aliev Aziz Ziyaevich. Dean of the pedagogical faculty of oreign Languages Islam A.I. and dean of the faculty of Oriental studies Kagazbayeva E.M.
Prominent scientists of Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, scientists of Kazakhstani universities, scientific organizations and a number of foreign scientists took part in this seminar. Among them were the Turkish teacher of our university Yurdakul Yalchyn, Doctor of Philology, Professor Makhpirov Valery Uygurovich, Professor of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy Nauryzbayeva Almira Beketovna, Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages, Doctor of Philology, Professor Islam Aybarsha, Director of the Terminology Department of the Institute of Linguistics named after A Baitursynova Kulmanov Sarsenbai Kuantaevich. Topical issues were discussed at the seminar, interesting reports were heard, congratulations and warm wishes to the hero of the day were heard. From Turkey, teachers Enver Kapaan and Mahmut Yuceli, who worked at our university, expressed their warm wishes by sending online congratulations.
