Today's day of signing the Memorandum was not chosen by chance. May 19 is celebrated in Turkey as Ataturk Memorial Day and a holiday of youth and sports. Ondokuz mayis university (OMÜ) is named after this day, since on May 19, 1919, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, addressed the youth in the city of Samsun, announcing mobilization to fight the interventionists who had seized part of the country's territory. This appeal marked the beginning of the national liberation war, which marked the creation of the Turkish Republic. Ablai khan KazUIR and WL congratulates the entire Turkish people and the staff of Ondokuz mayis university on the holiday and wishes prosperity to the fraternal people.
