On January 26, 2024, as part of the Bulekbaev’s Conference, a republican round table was held on the topic “Eastern Civilizations: History. Culture. Language”, organized by the Department of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazUIR&WL named after Abylai khan. This event was dedicated to the memory and scientific heritage of a prominent scholar, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Bulekbaev Sagadi Baizakovich and was held for the first time in a republican format. The purpose of the event was to discuss current issues in Oriental studies, consider key problems of the countries of the East in the field of history, economics, politics, language, as well as familiarize the younger generation with the creativity and contribution of S.B. Bulekbaev into oriental science.
A famous scientist, teacher, public figure, Fellow of the Academy of Political Sciences, Fellow of the Academy of Legal Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Bulekbaev Sagadi Baizakovich during his lifetime was a national expert of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a former adviser to the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, a member of the expert council of the Committee on Affairs religions of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the information and analytical center of the city of Almaty, expert of scientific projects of the Institute of Philosophy and Political Science, editor-in-chief of the information and analytical journal “Dialogue of Cultures”, expert journal, member of the editorial board of the federal scientific and practical journal “SOTIS” of Russia, etc. The scientist's articles were published in countries such as Poland, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of the University, Professor M. Uspanova. In her welcoming speech, she noted the uniqueness of the legacy of Professor S.B. Bulekbaev as a scientist and a person, emphasizing the amazing combination of kindness and intelligence. The moderator of the round table meeting was Doctor of Philosophy, Professor D.S. Raev. The dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, PhD, Professor E.M. Kagazbaeva also made a welcoming speech, noting the merits of S.B. Bulekbaev as a scientist and lecturer. Well-known scientists from research institutes and lecturers of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students and family members of Professor S.B. Bulekbaev took part in the round table.
Colleagues of Professor S.B. Bulekbaev shared their warm memories from life and experience of joint scientific activities. Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after. Kurmangazy, Naurzbaeva A.B., Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Nurmuratov S.E., Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ismagambetova Z.N., Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor, Director of Konaev College Bulekbaeva R.C. , candidate of legal sciences, associate professor Bulekbaeva R.U., candidate of political sciences, professor Baysultanova K.C. The online format of the round table was used by Associate Professor of the Kazakh-German University, Doctor of Philosophy G.H. Myamesheva, who presented a report-presentation on the significance and uniqueness of Sagadi Baizakovich’s scientific works, which assess the influence of Turkic civilization on world culture from a modern point of view. Lecturers of the Department of Oriental Studies: Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Eserkepova Z.O., Doctor PhD, Associate Professor Saikeneva D.K. made reports on research into the Turkic world, on the place of Turkic civilization in world culture and on semiotic research in Turkology.
It should also be noted that as part of the round table, an exhibition of books by Professor S.B. Bulekbaev was organized, where books, scientific works and awards of the scientist were presented.
Summing up the meeting, the moderator of the round table meeting, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor D.S. Raev. thanked everyone who took part in the round table, and emphasized the importance of further studying the scientific heritage of Professor Bulekbaev Sagadi Baizakovich and a comprehensive study of the unknown secrets of eastern civilizations.
