Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies attended the cultural event “Bright Star of Kazakh Cinema”

On February 15, 2024, teachers and 2nd year students of the Department of Translation of Oriental Languages ​​of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, as well as teachers of the Department of Kazakh Philology, attended the cultural and educational event “Bright Star Kazakh Cinema”, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Central State Museum. This event was dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding film director, People's Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR Shakena Aimanova.

The event was attended by People's Artists of Kazakhstan, famous public figures, students and media representatives. Veterans of Kazakh cinema shared their memories of Shaken Aimanov, who devoted his entire life to Kazakh theatrical art and cinema.

As part of the event, a small exhibition was organized, which presented photographs, awards and personal belongings of Sh. Aimanov, which are stored in the background of the museum. Among the exhibits one could see the asatayak - the instrument of the hero Aimanov from the film "Aldar Kose", as well as his personal dombra, chessboard and trumpet - the director's true weapon on the set, a movie camera , where “The End of Ataman” was filmed, clothes, pens, table clocks and other priceless exhibits.
