Participation of students of the specialty Simultaneous Interpretation in the conference of the Faculty of Translation and Philology "Issues of Intercultural Communication in Translation Studies and Philology"

February turned out to be a month full of events at the Faculty of Translation and Philology of KazUIR&WL University. An important moment in the kaleidoscope of events was the student conference "Issues of Intercultural Communication in Translation Studies and Philology" held on February 21.

The section of students' research work (SRW) under the title "Adaptation of simultaneous interpreters to the peculiarities of intercultural communication in different professional fields" attracted attention with the active participation of students and a large number of scientific works. Thus, in this section were presented as many as 22 scientific papers reflecting the deep interest of the student community in issues related to simultaneous interpretation in various fields. Thus, the papers addressed such aspects of linguistic and cultural mediation in a range of discourses from political to technical, and artistic discourse did not go unnoticed. It is worth noting that the papers managed to link theory and practice and adapt them to the trends of the era of audiovisual and machine translation, as well as artificial intelligence.

The conference became a platform for sharing knowledge and stimulating interest in scientific research among students. This event emphasized the relevance and significance of the issues raised in the field of intercultural communication and translation studies.

The Faculty Conference emphasized the role of the student research community in the development of the academic environment at the university through the exchange of ideas, discussion of current topics and continuation of educational traditions. Students showed their ability to think critically and conduct scientific discussion, and the university, in its turn, provides all the opportunities, information and educational resources for fruitful research work.
