“Art and Culture of China”

On February 20, 2024, the Faculty of Oriental Studies held a fascinating and educational event “The Art and Culture of China”, organized by group 306 under the leadership of Raihan Bagila, a teacher at the Department of Eastern Philology of Chinese language section.

The purpose of this event was to introduce students and teachers to Chinese culture, history, and tradition.

The dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Kagazbaeva E.M., the head of the Department of Eastern Philology Burkitbay G.Zh., teachers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies took part. Participants were able to enjoy educational videos highlighting the diversity and richness of Chinese art. Master classes in calligraphy and paper cutting allowed everyone to feel part of this amazing tradition. A demonstration of traditional clothing and culinary treats complemented the overall atmosphere of the holiday and allowed people to plunge into the atmosphere of ancient customs.

Exploring and immersing yourself in the Chinese tradition is not only an opportunity to broaden your horizons, but also enrich your soul with new knowledge and impressions. The Chinese Art and Culture event was a remarkable step in this direction. It allowed all participants to plunge into the world of the great Chinese civilization and discover new horizons of cultural understanding.

The next meetings and events are already waiting for us, and we look forward to new opportunities to immerse ourselves in the world of Eastern countries.
