29.11.2023 - Last Tuesday, November 29, Aizhan Nurmakhanova, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Translation and Philology, specialty - interpreter-synchronist, stood out for her professionalism and language skills at the meeting of the Almaty Police Department with the United Arab Emirates delegation. The event was organized to discuss cooperation between the two countries in criminal proceedings.
Our student provided consecutive interpretation to the participants of the meeting, providing language mediation between the representatives of the Police Department and the UAE delegation.
Students studying at the specialty "Simultaneous interpreter" of the Faculty of Translation and Philology take an active part in various events, acting not only as volunteers, but also as in-demand interpreters at international meetings and negotiations.
This event emphasizes the importance of interpreting training in the context of international cooperation and supports the development of qualified interpreters who can effectively provide communication between representatives of different cultures and language groups.
