English courses for people 60+ at the “School of Venerable Age”

Since the beginning of February 2024, our 3rd year student at the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ramberdina Sabina, has been conducting English language courses for people 60+ on a volunteer basis. “Shuakty kemel zhas mektebi” (working within the framework of the “Old Age in Joy” foundation since 2017), under the leadership of Ayan Ilyasovna Jomartova, is located in the Central City Children's Library named after. Begalin, and is a process of classes that involves more than 50 people.

At the moment, school students are participating in such clubs as cutting and sewing, a chess club, Japanese language courses, and for the second month now they have been studying English.

For people over 60, the time they spend at school is a new stage in life, where they open up from different sides, build new communications, learn the latest trends and try to keep up with life.

For our future teacher Ramberdina Sabina, this is a tremendous experience in communicating with the older generation, acquiring new knowledge, skills and abilities in mastering English language methods, teaching technologies and self-discipline. This is daily preparation for classes, building a lesson, work plan and viewing the results of students mastering the English language.

We wish Sabina all the best, and her students a speedy mastery of the English language.
