From July 2 to 5, 2024, an official visit was made by representatives of Zhejiang University (Hanzhou, China), represented by: Vice-President of Zhejiang University Prof. Xianhai Huang, Director of the Center for Private Economics Research; Deputy Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Zhejiang University, Prof. Shiyuan Pan, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of the Zhejiang Free Trade Port "New Era", Head of the Department of International Economics at Zhejiang University, Prof. Jing Lu, Secretary General of the Center for Private Economics Research at Zhejiang University, Prof. Zibin Zhang and the Deputy Director of the Center for Private Economics Research at Zhejiang University, Prof. Zhikai Wang.
In the official part of the meeting, Dana Anuvarbekovna Kunanbayeva, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, made a welcoming speech, noting the key role of the Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL in training specialists with the Chinese language of instruction for the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the framework of further cooperation, the universities signed a cooperation agreement, within the framework of which it is planned to implement academic mobility of teaching staff and students, as well as training specialists in university programs in the format of a Double Degree.
For reference: Zhejiang University is one of the oldest and most prestigious Chinese universities. In 2012, the University took 1st place in the National Ranking of universities. Claiming strong positions in several fields of research, ZJU is currently among the top three in mainland China and in the top hundred in the Times Higher Education Global Reputation Ranking and the QS World University Ranking ranks 44th.
