On November 20, 2024, an interesting and informative event "Interesting hieroglyphs of the Chinese language" was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, organized by students of group 202 under the guidance of PhD Raykhan Bagila, a teacher of Chinese at the Department of Eastern Philology.
The purpose of this event is to increase students' interest in the Chinese language, encourage them to study the Chinese language by explaining the historical and cultural significance of the characters.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies E.M. Kagazbayeva, the Head of the Department of Eastern Philology G.Zh. Burkitbay, teachers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. During the event, the participants were provided with detailed information about the features of Chinese writing, the origin and writing of characters, and interesting games were also held.
In the future, the Faculty of Oriental Studies will also hold educational events that will help improve students’ knowledge.
