On May 6th 2016 guest lecture was conducted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Cho Youngchon

On May 6th 2016 in KazUIR& WL named after Ablai Khana guest lecture was conducted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Cho Youngchon.

During the lecture, Mr. Cho Youngchon informed the students about the situation between Kazakhstan and Korea before and after their diplomatic relations, the outcome of these relations and revealed their potential.

-We are planning to create a model of cooperation for mutual growth based on already established friendly relations between our countries, - the Ambassador said confidently. - Embassy of the Republic of Korea, carrying all types of events for cultural exchange, will make every effort in order to strengthen mutual understanding between the citizens of Kazakhstan and Korea. Besides, we will try to render effective assistance to citizens of Kazakhstan, who want to visit Korea.

After the lecture the Diplomat awarded the winners of the essay contest on the topic "Korea reunification", which had been conducted two weeks before the event. The contest was attended by 40 students, 13 students won prizes and received recompense from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea.

The 1st place was taken by Izat Aida, two second places were taken by S. Muhametkan and I. Lim. The third places were taken by ten students of 1st , 2nd and 3rd year of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
