The “Restaurant Business and Hospitality Management” educational program is aimed at preparing professionals in the service industry. This is one of the most promising areas of modern economic activity, where graduates are capable of achieving effective results in the operation of restaurant and hotel enterprises.

The program is designed according to employer requirements and equips graduates with the competencies necessary for performing professional activities in the fields of restaurant management and hospitality. The unique advantages of the program lie in its balanced combination of hospitality knowledge and skills, practical experience, academic training, and entrepreneurial thinking to transform the hospitality industry in the Kazakhstani market. In-depth study of the English language enables students to adapt freely in practice. During their studies, students acquire knowledge and skills in creating and managing project documentation, understanding project management tools, working individually and in teams, making managerial decisions, and organizing team operations.

The program’s features include students choosing an individual academic trajectory in various fields of tourism and hospitality, such as hospitality management, gastronomy, MICE and event management, or international business in hospitality. Students have the broad opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs in countries such as the Republic of Turkey, the Netherlands, and Italy.

The faculty consists of doctors, candidates of sciences, and masters, who use various teaching methods for all subjects, including solving hospitality-related case studies, role-playing games, business trainings, and combining teamwork.

Graduates of the program will be able to work in the following structures:

Hospitality Business: hotels, guesthouses, hostels, resorts, and sanatoriums, beach resort areas;

Restaurant Business: restaurants, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and food courts in the HORECA sector;

Entrepreneurship: managing hotels, hostels, coffee shops, and other service-oriented establishments.

Applicants in a related specialty pass:

  • Unified National Testing (UNT) conducted in 2 subjects for applying a grant:

1) The history of Kazakhstan

2) Organization of service in restaurants and hotel facilities

  • Interview for a paid department
