The seven talented 2-year law students Kakymzhankyzy Anel, Nisanbay Zhanserik, Muratova Kundyz, Kuanyshbek Asem, Embergenova Gulzhanat, Sarsen Nurgisa, Batyrbek Asylzada took part in the Central Asian Youth Forum "Youth and the Police: Prevention of Extremism and Other Offenses" which was held on May 2-3, 2025. The leading associate professor of the Department of International Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences N.S. Dzhetibayev acted as an accompanying person.
The first day of the forum was held at the City Coworking Center in the Alatau District (Alatau Creative Hub). Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty Police Department, and the German Consulate in the Republic of Kazakhstan addressed the participants with welcoming remarks. Stefan Buchmayer, Head of the GIZ Regional Program “Preventing Violent Extremism in Central Asia,” was a special guest of the event.
On the second day, the Forum continued its work at the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov. Students took part in lectures on the topics “Police Activities in Modern Conditions. Police Service Model” and “Lumber Addiction, Cybercrime,” which were presented by the leading specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants also had the opportunity to communicate with famous persons — athletes, singers, theater and film actors, bloggers. In addition, the students visited an exhibition of technical equipment used by the internal affairs agencies, underwent professional training, and got acquainted with the work of the forensic testing ground "Sherlock Holmes School" and the cyberspace "Anti-Hacker School".
Overall, the event was held at a high organizational level, aroused keen interest among the participants and became a valuable experience for students in terms of professional orientation, broadening their horizons and developing practical skills. All participants of this event were awarded certificates.
