Ilyas Sadykhanov, Head of the Department for Support of International Projects and Rankings at the International Office of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, successfully completed a training mobility within the Erasmus+ programme (Staff Training Mobility) at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia.

The programme, implemented from 16 to 20 March 2026, marked an important step in strengthening the university’s international cooperation and enhancing its institutional expertise in the field of academic mobility. During the mobility, the participant gained in-depth insight into the activities of the host institution’s International Office, contemporary approaches to the internationalisation of higher education, as well as effective practices in student support and international project management.
Particular attention was paid to the work of the International Welcome Desk, which provides comprehensive support to incoming international students, as well as to the mechanisms for organising both incoming and outgoing academic mobility. The programme also included an overview of financial management tools used in international projects and the university’s experience in implementing initiatives such as Across and Uniescat.

An integral part of the mobility was familiarisation with the university’s modern and sustainable campus infrastructure, as well as the regional context in which the institution operates within the global academic environment.
Participation in the Erasmus+ programme reaffirms the commitment of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages to its strategic priorities of strengthening international cooperation, improving the quality of education, and integrating into the global academic community.
