On November 17, in honor of the 80th anniversary of KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, the ceremonial meeting International Forum of strategic partners of the university "International Scientific and Educational Integration: New Prospects" was held.
The 80-year history of the university is short in comparison with the history of mankind, but certainly great in the history of Kazakhstan. The Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages has come a long way of development and becoming what it is now - a well-known, modern educational and scientific complex that makes an exorbitant contribution to the development of the internationalization of education and other spheres of life in Kazakhstan.
Honorary partners of the university, presidents and rectors of universities, representatives of foreign embassies in the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of associative associations and educational organizations took part in the International Forum. The event was held offline and online, thanks to which representatives of partner universities from the Far Abroad were able to take part in the Forum and say their congratulations. At the beginning of the forum, the guests of the event were shown a video film "The Road - 80 Years Long", filmed specifically in honor of the university's anniversary.
The rector of KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kunanbaeva Salima Sagievna gave a speech. In her speech, Salima Sagievna noted the history of the development of the university, which was founded in 1941 and went a glorious way from a teacher's institute to the world famous University of International Relations and World Languages. The rector pointed to the 80-year activity of the university as a kind of result of its contribution to the development of the internationalization of education, which has been proven by many prestigious international awards and signs of recognition. In her speech, the rector noted that the university retains its leading position among universities in Kazakhstan, entered the number of international top universities according to the ratings of World Universities by the QS Agency, and also entered the first hundred universities in the ranking of top universities "Developing Europe and Central Asia". On the subject of the forum, Salima Sagievna noted that in the process of scientific and educational integration and ensuring its modern-demanded level of intensity and scale, the leading role of knowledge of languages as the main tool for ensuring interlanguage and interstate interaction is generally recognized. The rector also noted the implementation of the development of the prospects for research and innovation activities through the creation by the university of a unified scientific and innovative, professional and educational infrastructure in the form of research applied education. This will help ensure centralized management and high-quality monitoring of scientific and educational, applied and effective activities of scientific schools, departments and centers at all three levels of university training.
At the end of her speech, the rector noted the wealth of the university - over 100 thousand university graduates. In the first years of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, outstanding graduates of KazUIR&WL made up a corps of plenipotentiaries of 1-2 levels in accredited foreign embassies and consulates. She also pointed out the importance of training worthy specialists who are in demand for many spheres of life in our country.
A graduate of KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan, diplomat, Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Onzhanov Nurlan Baimoldanuly gave a speech and also read out a congratulatory address from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich.
The President of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rector of Turan University, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rahman Alshanovich Alshanov also gave a speech and read out a congratulatory address from Elbasy Nazarbayev Nursultan Abishevich.
Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, Doctor of Philology, Professor Tuimebayev Zhanseit Kanseituly congratulated the university on the anniversary and read out a congratulatory address from the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kusherbaev Krymbek Eleuovich.
